Overview

The Department of Periodontology is concerned with the health and care of tooth supporting structure namely gingiva, cementum, periodontal ligament and alveolar bone.

  • The Department is well equipped with 40 dental chair units with all auxiliary dental equipment and attachments for the undergraduate course, an independent waiting area, staff chambers and departmental library.
  • Our clinic includes fully functional Dental Implant Unit, Surgical Unit and a sterilization room.

The Department of Periodontics deals with the study of tooth supporting structures, in health and disease.

It is also concerned with the prevention and corrective measures in the management of gingival and periodontal diseases.

The Department has always stood for its “Tradition of Excellence” since last Nine years and will continue to do so.

  • Ultrasonic Scaling
  • Minor Surgeries :- Frenectomy, Local Drug Delivery, Crown lengthening with simple bone reduction, Gingivoplasty, Gingivectomy, Depigmentation, Coronoplasty, Operculectomy, Growth Excision.
  • Major Surgeries :- Flap surgery, Flap surgery with bone graft or Barrier membrane, Flap surgery with bone contouring.
  • Mucogingival Surgeries :- Free gingival graft, Connective tissue graft, Coronally advanced flap, Tunnel and Pouch technique etc.
  • Prosthetic surgeries:- Implant placement,
  • Other – Laser surgery, Piezosurgery etc.
